KingOfXmas #12: Matalan (re-entry, 3 appearances, 23 points)
Just sneaking in as they make their third appearance in the 12 Ads this year (everyone outside of the King Of Christmas Top 12 only made two appearances), here's their Alphabet scarves ad from 2014.
And now for the nerdier part of the festive run-up - the King Of Christmas update!
Each brand earns points for an appearance in the 12 Ads Of Christmas, with one point for first place, two for second, and so on.
The brand with the most appearances and least points wins!
Markets Ending: London/Southbank/London Eye
And breathe... The Christmas 2017 run-up may be over, but over the next two days we'll round off the year with the King Of Christmas update - let's see which brands really excel at this time of year. Will John Lewis' lack of form impact them?
12AdsOfXmas2017 #1: The BBC gave us perfection. This stop-motion animation had a strong story, lots of subtleties, a massive pay-off, and will tug so hard on your heart-strings that it will make you cry. A worthy 12 Ads Of Christmas 2017 winner!
12AdsOfXmas2017 #2: Likewise, for M&S, their Paddington adventure was just perfect, but their supplementary food ads were unimaginative rehashings of all their other food ads.
12AdsOfXmas2017 #3: The top-three ads were difficult to separate - Aldi's #KevinAndKatie series were only marked down for being more of the same from last year. It was still wonderful, funny and fresh.
#ThursdayThoughts - today is actually Thursday, and Sunday is New Years Eve. Bin day was yesterday, and you missed it.

12AdsOfXmas2017 #4: This is the perfect example of how the greatest Christmas ads can come from the most surprising of directions. Outdoorwear company Barbour have produced a semi-official sequel to "The Snowman And The Snowdog".
