We’re now into the truly special Christmas 2016 ads. M&S stumbled with their choice of complementary adverts, but everyone aced it from hereon in. Let’s begin with Sainsburys, who are now no strangers to booking up full ad breaks in order to show their Christmas extravaganzas. Taking up 3D printing technology, they produced a three-and-a-half-minute stop-motion musical featuring the vocal talents of James Corden about how life can be so busy that you sometimes find that you may be cutting a few too many corners in order to live it. It’s a good catchy song, too!
Their food ad mixed in sumptuously-filmed shots of their range with the world of their main Christmas ad.
And in what has become a Christmas tradition, the Gogglebox crew were also brought in to watch and react to a Christmas advert - and they also got the stop-motion treatment! Brilliant.
