Ahhhh, the Bleep Machine - such a wonderful invention, although heaven help you if you broadcast to a lip-reader! Towards the tail-end of the Christmas run-up, two adverts appeared with a similar theme. First up is Oral B, with what we’re going to call a “traditional” sweary advert.
And then BT Sport decided to combine sweary football chants with sweet Victorian carol singers - fantastic!
2014 continued the previous year’s predilection for extra-long adverts - and a few of them appear in our 12 Ads Of Christmas 2014 feature - but it was Burberry who broke all records this year with their sweet four-minute music video. It was given extra publicity due to David Beckham’s son Romeo being given a starring role.
We know that Christmas is about the giving and not the receiving, but Mulberry absolutely nailed the competitive gift-giving that goes on in some families!
...but before we move onto the 12 Ads Of Christmas 2014, let us savour the sight of London dressed up for the season. See you on the other side...
